Born in
Burpengary
"We don't just bake pies; we create edible pop culture."
The Beginning
Blackduck Bakehouse was born in Burpengary, Queensland, out of a simple desire: to make pies that actually taste like something. We are not a delicate patisserie, and we are not a mass-produced factory. We are an artisan bakehouse that believes in bold flavours, real ingredients, and a whole lot of attitude.
Our identity is rooted in our signature pie posters. From the heavy metal tattoo flash of "Ale to the Bone" to the 80s synthwave energy of "Thicc Chick," our brand is a canvas for creativity, pop culture, and unapologetic Australian humour.
We are the craft brewery of the bakery world — premium, but never pretentious. Every pie tells a story. Every poster is a conversation starter. Every bite is a reminder that life is too short for bland pastry.

What We Stand For
Unapologetically Bold
We don't do bland. Our flavours are big, our art is loud, and we stand by every creation.
Craft Quality
From our sourdough starter to our slow-cooked brisket, quality is non-negotiable.
Cheeky & Authentic
We take our baking seriously, but not ourselves. Proudly Australian, genuine, and always up for a laugh.
Culturally Connected
We speak the language of our customers through pop culture, movie references, and internet humour.
Every Pie Gets a Poster
Each hero pie receives its own unique, high-production illustrated poster. This is not a secondary marketing element — this IS the brand. The posters are what people photograph, share, wear, and hang on their walls. They are what makes Blackduck Bakehouse impossible to confuse with any other bakery in Australia.
From classic tattoo flash to 80s synthwave, from Godfather homages to retro 1950s cartoons — our posters are united by attitude, not by visual consistency. Each one is a finished, professional illustration designed to be worn on a t-shirt, hung on a wall, and shared on social media.

The Vision
We started in Burpengary, but we're not staying there. The vision is national: multiple locations, a DTC frozen pie delivery service, and a franchise model built on a brand strong enough to stand on its own. The art, the attitude, and the quality travel with us.
"To become Australia's leading premium pie brand and a cult-favourite lifestyle brand."
